What I believe to be true in my perpective is that Jesus is our one and only lord. I believe that Jesus is our only lord because he has done everything for us and loves us a lot. He is the one that bless’s us with food, shelter, and all those things that we have. He has gave us the opportunity to go to school and learn what we have learned and what we are learning in the future. Some people don’t have that because of somethings that they do or they just don’t care about themselves or each other. He gives us freedom by doing what we want and not just by he wants. Jesus would love for all of us to unite as a family and follow him like his apostles did, but some people rather be doing something else. Jesus is our only lord also because he suffered and died for us. He gave up his life for is and and us as part of the church shall pay him back by being disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ.

What do I want to learn from my Culture?

What I would like to earn from my Culture is the Economy. I would like to learn the economy because I really am interested in learning to see what happens, why does it happen, and who is that main person that that started it ovet there in the country that my family comes from which is Guatemala. I would like to know if there if there is sufficient farms, how do certain things affect it, and who/what causes them to affect that country. I would also like to learn more about my tradition, like the festivals that they celebrate. I would like to know who started that event, why did they start it, what is the main purpose of doing it, where in other countries do they celebrate it, when do they celebrate it, and how did they manage to put it as a crucial event. I would like to learn about these crucial aspects because I believe that if I get more involved in my culture, I would learn something new that does not befall here n the Unites States of America. This would be my most important thing that i would like to learn, who named the country Guatemala and why?

What do I need from my Parents?

What I need from my parents in my perspective, would have to be attention in some matter. I would need more attention because when something is happening they would just wonder off and not pay any attention to me. Either becasue they are tired or they are really busy. I would want more attention because at some point I feel left out and I just fell depressed when it comes to a situation like that. I basically do not being in that position, were im depressed. I cannot stand being in that position because I would then just think about it throughout the whole day and not want to come out of my room to doing anything around the house or go play outside with my friends. Sometimes i know why they do this because I understand the position that they are in like: working, talking to a customer, or just being busy a lot. I understand them because work can be hard for them and they have to wake up early and come back till night. I would just give them time but I just believe that I need more attention. Thats what I feel I need more from my parents.

I chose these three aspects because the country were my parents are from is called Guatemala. I believe that the food in Guatemala is unique, I say unique because some food over there isn’t here in the United States of America. I really enjoy the food and would love to enjoy it everyday. I also chose dance because were my parents come from the music is called, “Kumbia.” I really enjoy dancing to this type of music because it just calms me down and makes me feel better. The language is Guatemala is called”Lengua”, which means in English “Tongue.” I don’t know how to talk this language, but I understand it when people are talking to me. I like hearing people talking this type of language because for some reason I get so into it and I just don’t want to stop the people from talking it.

I choose education because with out education you will not be able to have a great job in the future and that will really mess you up. I think education is very important because it will help you a lot throughout your future. It will help you to have a nice house, good job, and to put food in your system. It will help you be someone in the near future.

What I learned on the experience with the Canadian people was that it wasn’t that easy working with people from a different country. It was difficult because we had technology problems, but at the same time it was for many other reasons. What I enjoyed from it was that, since I have never done anything like that in my life, I found it very interesting becuase it caught my eye and brin as soon as I heard about it. My favorite part was getting the project done because it was a big relief After I got it off of my chest. It was also cool because we chatted on Meebo.com and it was pretty chill. It was amazing how we managed to get it done on time. I really did not like that thir was difficulty problems when it came to thattime when we really needed the time to work on our project, But overall tha rest was o.k. I enjoyed collaborating with the people from Canada.

The Word that I choose that best describes chapters 11 and 12 to me is Friendship. I chose friendship because Ponyboy and his brothers are always together and look upon eachother. Ponyboy does not have to speak that much because of what the doctor said. Ponyboy becomes sad and depressed because of his grades that he is failing his English class, and that if he writes an outstanding autobiographical theme that he will raise his grade up to a C. Next Steve, Two-Bit, and Ponyboy are going to the Grocery Store and a group of Socs accost him. Ponybot threatens the with a broken bottle saying that he refuses to take any more of there crap. After Sodapop Finds a letter from Sandy that hasn’t been open. Darry explains that Sodapop isn’t the father of Sandy’s child. Darry and Ponyboy go fing Sodapop, because he had ran out of the house. He tells them their constant fighting is tearing them apart. He tells them to try to understand eachother and stop fighting They have proised to try. Ponyboy thinks that Sodapop will hold the together. They go back home and Ponyboy looks at Jhonny’s copy of Gone with the Wind. Ponyboy after realizes that he wants to tell the story of his friends so that other hoodlums will not nurse their anger at the world and ignore the beauty of it. He begins to write the English theme ,starteing with the words that begin The Outsiders.

Fear- I feel that Chapter 9&10 of the outsiders is fear because as soon as the rumble is about to start he is scared. It seemed to me that he is also feared by, because of Johnny when he dies and also when the cops are chasing Dally, from him robbing a grocery store and he falls when they shot him. It is sad because two boys had died in Ponyboys face and that is gruesome it is terrible for something like that to happen to you. Especially since its coming form people that you look up to. It was a long struggle but the “Greasers” had won the rumble. Ponyboy passes out when they shot Dally, Dally collapses to the ground, dead. Ponyboy muses that Dally wanted to die. Feeling dizzy and overwhelmed Ponyboy passes out. When Ponyboy awakes, Darry is at his side. Ponyboy learns that he got a concussion when a Soc kicked him in the head during the rumble, and that he has been delirious in bed for three days. That’s why I think that fear described chapter 9&10 because it’s just fear that can hunt you and in another way that you are scared of doing. I mean fear in to ways.

I feel that chapter 7&8 is friendship because they are there for eachother and they don’t leave eachothers site, because they are al like family. Ponyoy was also supporting Darry and Jhonny when they were in the hospital. It is also friendship because when they do something they do it all together. Even though Darry and Jhonny are in the hospital thay have always sticked together. Jhonny’s mom had went to the hospital and Jhonny didn’t even want to bother too see his mother. That’s why i think that chapter 7 and 8 are about friendship because they are always with eachother and help eachother when they need to be. It was very cool for them to stick together through thick and thin.

What I think chapter 5 & 6 are about is survival. In chapter 5 & 6, you will know it has surviving in the story. I say this because for a fact that when Johnny and Sodapop came back in the church along with Dallas and they saw it burning, Johnny went in and saved the kids that were left behind inside church and so did Ponyboy followed. They have risked there lives to save other little kids and they made it out with the kids safe. That’s why In my calculation, that these chapters were of survival. It was a very bold thing for them to go inside a burning place and just go in there like if it was nothing and take those kids out. That takes a lot of guts to do.

In class we read a short story called “The Bet”, “The Bet” is a story about a banker and a lawyer and they make a bet about the lawyer staying in jail and if it’s better to stay in jail and live but barely or to be executed. This short story was written by a very famous author Anton Chekhov. Anton Chekhov has also written books such as, “Darkness”, “The Darlng”, “A Dead body ”, and many others.

The way that this story shows relationships is that how the lawyer could have not taken the bet, grown up, had a family but instead he decided to go on without a relationship. Even though the lawyer was closed in the wing, he still had relationships. He had a bond with his knowledge and his books. Power could change a relationship by showing the other what it means to be wealthy or wise. Power also changes the person by having the person take responsibility for there actions and not letting the fact of having power get to the persons head. For all they know they might loose that power in a couple of years they could have lost that power over people.

In the end I like the story the bet because it teaches people about endurance, power, strength, money, and most of all the wonders of knowledge.

The word that I choose that decribes chapter 3 and 4 is Vie. I chose Vie because in the chapters three and four , In the “Outsiders” the gang of the Greasers and the Socs compete for respectand the girls. The are there for victory to fight one another , Like when jhonny and ponyboy were out at 2:30 am. in the morning, the Socs had arrived and they wanted to fight because the greasers were with Cherry, and Glory, the Socs girls. So the Socs wanted revenge . They saw the greasers at the park and started to fight until…………all of a sudden ponyboy killed the people from the gang “Socs.” Thats why i chose the word Vie because it mostly about what gang is better and stronger so they have to compete with one another.
